The Joint Workshop/ Summer School will be held on campus in Soda Hall at UC Berkeley.

The Berkeley BART station is just 1-1/2 blocks west of the Berkeley campus. It is a simple ride (with two changes) from SFO. The station to get off is the Berkeley Station (aka Downtown Berkeley). Summer evenings in Berkeley and San Francisco may be chilly with historic temperatures ranging from 40-50 F. During the day time, however, temperature may reach 70-75 F. You are recommended to bring along a sweater or jacket for the dinner cruise.

For this special team-building event, a Vegas Style large boat will be chartered to cruise around the San Francisco Bay. Start off by enjoying the breathtaking sights with a glass of champagne and sail the night away while enjoying a buffet dinner, music and discussion of recent breakthroughs.The arresting skyline of the “City by the Bay” includes the landmark TransAmerica Pyramid, Embarcadero Center’s four “fingers” and Coit Tower on Telegraph Hill. Sail under the magnificent Golden Gate Bridge and enjoy the festive lights adorning the Bay Bridge at night. A professional tour guide will provide information that piece all this together.

The bus will depart from the UC Berkeley at 4 pm on Wednesday and return to Berkeley Campus approximately 9:00 PM.
