Best Poster Awards

CONSRT is pleased to announce the launch of Best Poster Awards for students and post-docs who present posters at the Workshop.  CONSRT students and post-docs are strongly encouraged to submit posters

1.       Awards

•  First place: $600, certificates for each co-author

•  Second place: $400, certificates for each co-author

•  Third place: $200, certificates for each co-author

•  The award will be shared among all co-authors of the posters except the professors. 

•   Presentations will be made at the Wednesday Dinner. 

• Co-Chairs: Dr. Charles Kao, HKUST (retired), and Tingye Li, ATT Bell Labs (retired)

3.       Abstract

• Limited to 5000 characters.

• Submission on line

•  Website will be closed 8/7/06, 5pm PDT 

4.       Poster Presentation:

• All posters will be presented by students and post-docs.

• Poster should follow the format in the template (NOW poster template).

• Each poster will be allocated a 3-minute slot for oral introduction (Power Point template).

• Poster viewing times are listed in NOW Schedule.  The co-authors should take turns to host their poster.

5.      Best Poster Selection

• Posters will be judged based on research quality and poster presentation.

6.       Selection Process:

•  An external panel will evaluate the posters

• Score will be collected Wednesday 8/16 morning, and decision announced after the lunch.
